About Us

"Thriving Lab" is a research and incubation center that aims to perform research and advocacy on interdisciplinary topics related to health, well-being as well as to develop innovative ways to enhance the fulfillment process of individuals and the environments that support them.
The aim of "Thriving Lab" is to expand the evidence supporting an integrated approach to health, well-being, and fulfillment of individuals through the development of tailored interventions, tools and necessary resources to support individuals particularly the youth population and help them thrive and succeed in their life journey.
"Thriving Lab" represents a combination of multiple sciences and disciplines based on a collaborative effort and partnership that involves prominent researchers and experts from various organizations both at national and international level.
Objectives
Conducting cross-disciplinary and innovative research.
- Investigate the effectiveness and the impact of policies and practices designed to promote individuals’ health and well-being.
- Demonstrate how an integrated approach that takes into account environmental determinants and working conditions improves the performance of individuals and organizations.
- Demonstrate how an integrated approach to well-being is linked to a successful career path and a fulfilling life.
Disseminate evidence-based practices.
- Disseminate best practices to improve living and working conditions.
- Optimize investments in environmental and occupational health and well-being.
- Produce validated assessments and dashboards to monitor health and well-being.
Shaping the Public Policy for health and well-being
- Explore policy changes that improve the health and well-being of individuals, especially young students and workers, while supporting performance, productivity and engagement.
- Develop recommendations for policy makers.
- Evaluate the impact of policies in place on the health and wellbeing of workers.
Build capacity
- Train professionals and mentor students.
- Share scientific information with the public.
- Provide guidelines for the implementation of good practices.
- Co-design interventions to improve individuals’ well-being and fulfillment.

The WISH study (well-being investigation among higher education students)
The "WISH study" aims at evaluating the mental and social well-being of higher education students in 10 universities in Morocco.
The study was prepared in collaboration with researchers from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Our approach was inspired by the SHOT study, Norway's largest student survey on health and well-being, which had over 60,000 respondents.
This study examined a population of 3244 students aged between 17 and 27 years old.

This study aims at measuring the social climate in the workplace.
The study is conducted in collaboration with researchers from HEG-Arc (Haute Ecole de Gestion de Neuchâtel) in Switzerland.

This study aims to identify and analyze the key factors influencing health and well-being among entrepreneurs (self-employed) and top managers in Morocco.

This study aims to better understand the association between management practices, remote work habits, the use of modern technology and the well-being of workers in Morocco.
The objective of this study is to shortlist and analyze the various management practices, implemented by companies in Morocco during the COVID19, while assessing their impacts on employee health and well-being.
